Medical Definition:	Injuries to tissues caused by contact with heat, steam, chemicals (BURNS, CHEMICAL), electricity (BURNS, ELECTRIC), or the like.
Guide Notes:	GEN; "thermal injury"; EYE BURNS & SUNBURN are also available; burn shock: coord IM with SHOCK, TRAUMATIC (IM)

Burns Categories.

	Burns, Chemical
	Burns, Electric - Burns produced by contact with electric current or from a sudden discharge of electricity.
	Burns, Inhalation - Burns of the respiratory tract caused by heat or inhaled chemicals.
	Eye Burns - Injury to any part of the eye by extreme heat, chemical agents, or ultraviolet radiation.
