Sarcodina
Medical Definition: | A subphylum of protozoa characterized by the ability to alter their body shape. Its organisms acquire food by pseudopodia of various types, or by locomotive protoplasmic flow without the production of discrete pseudopodia. Flagella, when present, are usually restricted to developmental or other temporary stages. |
