Mastigophora

Medical Definition: A subphylum of flagellate protozoa. It contains two classes: PHYTOMASTIGOPHORA and ZOOMASTIGOPHORA.

This class includes one superorder, Parabasalidea, and six orders: Choanoflagellida, KINETOPLASTIDA, Proteromonadida, Retortamonadida, DIPLOMONADIDA, and Oxymonadida.
