Drug Combinations

Medical Definition:	Single preparations containing two or more active agents, for the purpose of their concurrent administration as a fixed dose mixture. It is differentiated from DRUG THERAPY, COMBINATION in which two or more drugs are administered separately for a combined effect.
Guide Notes:	IM for general only; NIM with specific drugs; differentiate from DRUG THERAPY, COMBINATION: drug combinations = 2 or more drugs in a single dosage form; combination ther = 2 or more drugs separately for a combined eff; no qualif
