Medical Definition: Fractures of the proximal humerus, including the head, anatomic and surgical necks, and tuberosities.
Guide Notes: refers to SHOULDER, not SHOULDER JOINT; restricted to fract of proximal humerus (head, neck, tuberosities): do not confuse with HUMERAL FRACTURES (non-head, etc.)
