Acetanilides - N-Phenylacetamide. Precursor of many drugs, dyes and other compounds in chemical synthesis; formerly used as analgesic and antipyretic, but often causes lethal methemoglobinemia. Synonyms: acetylaniline; acetylaminobenzene; antifebrin. | |
Benzoylarginine Nitroanilide - A chromogenic substrate that permits direct measurement of peptide hydrolase activity, e.g., papain and trypsin, by colorimetry. The substrate liberates p-nitroaniline as a chromogenic product. | |
Bupivacaine - A widely used local anesthetic agent. | |

Carboxin - A systemic agricultural fungicide and seed treatment agent. | |
Encainide - One of the ANTI-ARRHYTHMIA AGENTS, it blocks SODIUM CHANNELS and slows conduction within the His-Purkinje system and myocardium. | |
Flutamide - An antiandrogen with about the same potency as cyproterone in rodent and canine species. | |

Propanil - A chlorinated anilide that is used as an herbicide. | |
Salicylanilides - 2-Hydroxy-N-phenylbenzamides. N-phenyl substituted salicylamides. Derivatives have been used as fungicides, anti-mildew agents and topical antifungal agents. In concentrated form may cause irritation of skin and mucous membranes. | |
Tocainide - An antiarrhythmic agent which exerts a potential- and frequency-dependent block of sodium channels. |
