Picrorhiza

Medical Definition:	A plant genus of the family SCROPHULARIACEAE. Members contain scrosides (CINNAMATES) and phenylethanoid glycoside. P. kurrooa is the source of picroliv (a purified iridoid glycoside fraction from the roots having hepatoprotective, anti- inflammatory and antioxidant properties).
