Nose Diseases

Medical Definition:	Disorders of the nose, general or unspecified.

Nose Diseases Categories.

	Choanal Atresia - Congenital bony or membranous occlusion of one or both choanae, due to failure of the embryonic bucconasal membrane to rupture.
	Epistaxis - Bleeding from the nose.
	Granuloma, Lethal Midline - A non-neoplastic disease of unknown etiology beginning with inflammation, ulceration, and perforation of nose and palate and progressing to gradual destruction of midline facial structures.
	Nasal Obstruction - Any hindrance to the passage of air into and out of the nose. The obstruction may be in the nasal vestibule, fossae, or other areas of the nasal cavity.
	Nose Deformities, Acquired - Deformities of the nose acquired after birth from injury or disease.
	Paranasal Sinus Diseases - Diseases affecting or involving the PARANASAL SINUSES and generally manifesting as inflammation, abscesses, cysts, or tumors.
	Rhinitis - Inflammation of the mucous membrane of the nose.
