Sensory Thresholds

Medical Definition:	The minimum amount of stimulus energy necessary to elicit a sensory response.

Sensory Thresholds Categories.

	Pain Threshold - Amount of stimulation required before the sensation of pain is experienced.
	Subliminal Stimulation - Stimulation at an intensity below that where a differentiated response can be elicited.
	Taste Threshold - The minimum concentration at which taste sensitivity to a particular substance or food can be perceived.
