Postoperative Complications
Medical Definition: | Pathologic processes that affect patients after a surgical procedure. They may or may not be related to the disease for which the surgery was done, and they may or may not be direct results of the surgery. |

Graft Occlusion, Vascular - Obstruction of flow in biological or prosthetic vascular grafts. | |
Malignant Hyperthermia - Rapid and excessive rise of temperature accompanied by muscular rigidity following general anesthesia. | |
Pain, Postoperative - Pain during the period after surgery. | |
Postoperative Nausea and Vomiting - Emesis and queasiness occurring after anesthesia. | |
Prosthesis Failure - Malfunction of implantation shunts, valves, etc., and prosthesis loosening, migration, and breaking. | |
Surgical Wound Dehiscence - Pathologic process consisting of a partial or complete disruption of the layers of a surgical wound. |
