Granulosa Cell Tumor

Medical Definition: An ovarian tumor originating in the cells of the primordial membrana granulosa of the graafian follicle. It may be associated with excessive production of estrogen (ESTROGENS).
Guide Notes: coord IM with OVARIAN NEOPLASMS (IM); do not confuse with GRANULAR CELL TUMOR, a myoblastoma of any site, usually head & neck
