Mediastinal Emphysema

Medical Definition: Presence of air in the mediastinal tissues due to leakage of air from the tracheobronchial tree, usually as a result of trauma.
Guide Notes: do not confuse with radiogr pneumomediastinum ( = PNEUMOMEDIASTINUM, DIAGNOSTIC)
