Nephritis

Medical Definition:	Inflammation of the kidney. It is a focal or diffuse proliferative or destructive process which may involve the glomerulus, tubule, or interstitial renal tissue. (Dorland, 27th ed)

Nephritis Categories.

	Glomerulonephritis - Glomerular disease characterized by an inflammatory reaction, with leukocyte infiltration and cellular proliferation of the glomeruli, or that appears to be the result of immune glomerular injury.
	Nephritis, Interstitial - Diffuse or local inflammation and edema of the interstitial tissue of the kidney, including the tubules.
