Pituitary Hormone Release Inhibiting Hormones Categories.

	MSH Release-Inhibiting Hormone - A hypothalamic tripeptide, enzymatic degradation product of oxytocin, that inhibits the release of melanocyte-stimulating hormone (MSH).
	Prolactin Release-Inhibiting Hormone - A polypeptide hormone produced in the hypothalamus that inhibits the release of PROLACTIN.
	Somatostatin - A polypeptide hormone produced in the HYPOTHALAMUS, and other tissues and organs. It inhibits the release of growth hormone (SOMATOTROPIN), and also modulates important physiological functions of the kidney, pancreas, and gastrointestinal tract. Somatostatin receptors are widely expressed throughout the body. Somatostatin also acts as a neurotransmitter in the central and peripheral nervous systems.
