Endometrial Hyperplasia - Benign proliferation of the ENDOMETRIUM in the UTERUS. Endometrial hyperplasia is classified by its cytology and glandular tissue. There are simple, complex (adenomatous without atypia), and atypical hyperplasia representing also the ascending risk of becoming malignant. | |
Hematometra - An accumulation of blood in the uterus. (Dorland, 28th ed) | |
Uterine Hemorrhage - Hemorrhage from vessels in the uterus, sometimes manifested as vaginal bleeding. | |
Uterine Inversion - A turning of the uterus inside out, whereby the fundus is forced through the cervix and protrudes into or outside of the vagina. (Dorland, 28th ed) | |
Uterine Prolapse - Downward displacement of the uterus. It is classified in various degrees: in the first degree the cervix is within the vaginal orifice; in the second degree the cervix is outside the orifice; in the third degree the entire uterus is outside the orifice. | |
Uterine Rupture - A tearing of uterine tissue; it may be traumatic or spontaneous due to multiple pregnancy, large fetus, previous scarring, or obstruction. |
