Truncus Arteriosus

Medical Definition: The embryonic arterial trunk arising from the heart which then divides into the aorta and the main pulmonary artery.
Guide Notes: normal; abnormal is probably TRUNCUS ARTERIOSUS, PERSISTENT; pseudotruncus arteriosus = TETRALOGY OF FALLOT
