Polydnaviridae

Medical Definition: A family of insect viruses isolated from endoparasitic hymenopteran insects belonging to the families Ichneumonidae and Braconidae. The two genera are Ichnovirus and Bracovirus.
Guide Notes: a family of insect viruses infecting hymenopterans; from POLY (several or many) DNA viruses; coord IM with specific insect /virol (IM)
