Parasitic Diseases
Medical Definition: | Infections or infestations with parasitic organisms. They are often contracted through contact with an intermediate vector, but may occur as the result of direct exposure. |

Central Nervous System Parasitic Infections - Infections of the brain, spinal cord, and meninges caused by parasites, primarily PROTOZOA and HELMINTHS. |

Ectoparasitic Infestations - Infestations by parasites which live on the outside of the body of the host. |

Eye Infections, Parasitic - Mild to severe infections of the eye and its adjacent structures (adnexa) by adult or larval protozoan or metazoan parasites. |
