LLC-PK1 Cells

Medical Definition: Epithelial cell line originally derived from porcine kidneys. It is used for pharmacologic and metabolic studies.
Guide Notes: LLC stands for Lilly Laboratories Cell & PK for Porcine Kidney; almost always NIM with no subheadings; check ANIMALS & add SWINE (NIM); do not routinely add KIDNEY
