Thorax
| Medical Definition: | The upper part of the trunk between the NECK and the ABDOMEN. It contains the chief organs of the circulatory and respiratory systems. (From Stedman, 25th ed) |

|  | Thoracic Cavity - The region of the thorax that includes the PLEURAL CAVITY and MEDIASTINUM. | 
|  | Thoracic Wall - The outer margins of the thorax containing SKIN, deep FASCIA; THORACIC VERTEBRAE; RIBS; STERNUM; and MUSCLES. |
