Mastadenovirus

Medical Definition:	A genus of ADENOVIRIDAE that infects mammals including humans and causes a wide range of diseases. The type species is Human adenovirus C (see ADENOVIRUSES, HUMAN).

Mastadenovirus Categories.

	Adenoviruses, Bovine - Species of the genus MASTADENOVIRUS, causing disease affecting the respiratory and gastrointestinal systems in cattle. Serotypes have been grouped into several different species.
	Adenoviruses, Canine - Species of the genus MASTADENOVIRUS that causes fever, edema, vomiting, and diarrhea in dogs and encephalitis in foxes. Epizootics have also been caused in bears, wolves, coyotes, and skunks. The official species name is Canine adenovirus and it contains two serotypes.
	Adenoviruses, Human - Species of the genus MASTADENOVIRUS, causing a wide range of diseases in humans. Infections are mostly asymptomatic, but can be associated with diseases of the respiratory, ocular, and gastrointestinal systems. Serotypes (named with arabic numbers) have been grouped into species designated Human adenovirus A-F.
	Adenoviruses, Porcine - Species of the genus MASTADENOVIRUS, causing neurological disease in pigs.
	Adenoviruses, Simian - Species of the genus MASTADENOVIRUS associated with respiratory and enteric infections in primate hosts.
