Liver Extracts

Medical Definition: Extracts of liver tissue containing uncharacterized specific factors with specific activities; a soluble thermostable fraction of mammalian liver is used in the treatment of pernicious anemia.
Guide Notes: extracts of liver or liver fractions containing uncharacterized factors; do not confuse with chemical substances "extracted" from the liver, as "peptides extracted from the mouse liver" ( = PEPTIDES /anal + LIVER /anal)
