Tissues Categories.

Connective Tissue - Tissue that supports and binds other tissues. It consists of CONNECTIVE TISSUE CELLS embedded in a large amount of EXTRACELLULAR MATRIX. |

Epithelium - One or more layers of EPITHELIAL CELLS, supported by the basal lamina, which covers the inner or outer surfaces of the body. |

Lymphoid Tissue - Specialized tissues that are components of the lymphatic system. They provide fixed locations within the body where a variety of LYMPHOCYTES can form, mature and multiply. The lymphoid tissues are connected by a network of LYMPHATIC VESSELS. |

Membranes - Thin layers of tissue which cover parts of the body, separate adjacent cavities, or connect adjacent structures. |

Organoids - An organization of cells into an organ-like structure. Organoids can be generated in culture. They are also found in certain neoplasms. |

Surgically-Created Structures - Organs or parts of organs surgically formed from nearby tissue to function as substitutes for diseased or surgically removed tissue. |
