Glossalgia - Painful sensations in the tongue, including a sensation of burning. |

Glossitis - Inflammation of the tongue. |

Macroglossia - The presence of an excessively large tongue, which may be congenital or may develop as a result of a tumor or edema due to obstruction of lymphatic vessels, or it may occur in association with hyperpituitarism or acromegaly. Tongue, Fissured |

Tongue, Hairy - A benign condition of the tongue characterized by hypertrophy of the filiform papillae that give the dorsum of the tongue a furry appearance. The color of the elongated papillae varies from yellowish white to brown or black, depending upon staining by substances such as tobacco, food, or drugs. (Dorland, 27th ed) |
