Malpighian Tubules

Medical Definition: Slender tubular or hairlike excretory structures found in insects. They emerge from the ALIMENTARY CANAL between the mesenteron (midgut) and the proctodeum (hindgut).
Guide Notes: in intestines of arthropods; "malpighian" is not capitalized in titles or translations
