Cyanophora

A genus of primitive ALGAE in the family Cyanophoraceae, class Glaucocystophyceae. They contain pigmented prokaryotic endosymbionts called cyanelles, which have characteristics of both CYANOBACTERIA and CHLOROPLASTS. |
